Interestingly, the President of the Tesla Owners Club Romania shared a picture of the vehicle’s old and new screens to demonstrate how they vary.

Observed rear screen upgrades

Size

Vlad Ionut Coste’s shared photo revealed that the new screen is obviously larger than the old one. However, the screen seems to fit precisely in the space initially provided in the said Tesla vehicles.

It is worth noting that the new screen’s significantly reduced bezels accounted for the added screen space. Remarkably, it makes the Model X and Model S rear passenger space appear even more contemporary.

Console design

Tesla appears to have left the console’s design untouched. That said, owners who already own a car with an older screen could upgrade by retrofitting the new one.

Graphics and text displays

In addition, the graphics and text displayed on the new screen appear to have higher definitions and a higher resolution. It does not seem to have the warmish appearance that the old screen had, and the colors also seem sharper.

Further speculations

There have also been speculations about enabling direct Bluetooth headphone connections to the rear screen. It has not been verified, though.

Tesla has delayed the launch for the Longe Range variants of the recently refreshed Tesla Model S and Model X until March 2023 to increasing demand for higher grade models. #Tesla #ModelS #ModelX pic.twitter.com/RbvmToFlMv

However, the precise date on which Tesla will formally add this screen to its line of vehicles is not yet announced. It is interesting to note that this screen upgrade might have already been released earlier, but nobody noticed it until now.
