German robot company Kuka finally delivered Tesla‘s orders of 66 production line robots on December 18, as reported by Global Energy News. These innovative robots are intended for Cybertruck production at the automaker’s Gigafactory Texas by mid-2023.

The bill shows a number of packages being shipped from Germany and bound for Tesla’s Gigafactory Texas.
Role of Kuka robots in Tesla’s production line
Tesla’s production lines employ Kuka robots to assemble various parts onto the Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X vehicles.
Remarkably, the manufacturing facilities in Berlin, Shanghai, and Fremont, Texas, all employ these high-tech robots.
For those unfamiliar, the Kuka robots are the massive red and orange machines visible in the various images and videos captured inside Tesla’s Gigafactories. Refer below:
Tesla’s preparation for the Cybertruck production
Tesla Cybertruck is expected to undergo production in mid-2023, with large-scale production slated by the end of 2023.
Apart from the 66 Kuka robots, Tesla also received the IDRA Group’s 9,000-ton Giga Press in early December. Additional shipments are arriving to gradually fulfill the inventory.
Cybertruck Pricing
CEO Elon Musk announced on the Cybertruck’s initial debut that it would have a base price of below $40,000.
However, Musk clarified in October 2021 that the electric pickup truck would have different prices and specifications than those previously listed in 2019. Since then, the automaker has withdrawn all the specifications and costs listed from its website.
