Tesla continues to expand its electric vehicle business across the world, with Qatar being the latest addition to its markets.

Tesla launches its online configurator in Qatar

Tesla Europe & Middle East announced today the successful launch of Tesla’s online configurator for the Qatari market. 

Interested customers can now order all models in the company’s S3XY lineup, including the Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y.

Model S

Tesla launched two Model S variants in Qatar, including the QAR 314,990 Dual Motor All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) and the QAR 359,990 Plaid. Tesla estimates delivery to start between February and March 2024. 

Tesla’s Fremont factory will supply the Qatari market with Model S units.

Model 3

The revamped Tesla Model 3 Highland is also now available in Qatar. Supplies will come from Tesla’s Giga Shanghai, including the QAR 164,990 Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) and the QAR 184,990 Dual Motor All-Wheel-Drive (AWD). It also has an estimated delivery of February to March 2024.

Model X

Tesla launched the Model X’s Dual Motor All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) and Tri-Motor All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) for customers in Qatar. These variants cost QAR 334,990 and QAR 379,990, respectively.

Estimated deliveries will also start from February to March 2024.

Model Y

The world’s most popular vehicle, the Tesla Model Y, is also now available in Qatar, with deliveries starting in February-March 2024.

The RWD variant costs QAR 184,990, while the Long Range AWD starts at QAR 204,990. Lastly, the Performance AWD has a base price of QAR 229,990.

More plans

Tesla also plans to launch a pop-up store at Doha Festival City, coinciding with the delivery commencement in the first quarter of 2023. Interested buyers can get a chance to see the Tesla cars in person and even schedule Demo Drives. 

The Musk-led company also announced plans to build a Showroom and Service Center in Doha in Q1 2024.

Moreover, it will install its first Superchargers in Qatar to support its upcoming local EV owners by January next year. Drive Tesla Canada indicated that Tesla will offer 12 V3 units in the Doha Supercharger location. 

With these innovative EV chargers, owners can benefit from rapid charging with up to 250kW power. Notably, such expansion efforts are crucial for Tesla’s goal of selling at least 20 million electric vehicles by 2030.
