Tesla has once again revoked its Referral Program, which granted owners several prizes by referring family or friends to buy a new electric vehicle from the SEXY lineup.
It also gave the new buyers some incentives for using the referral link, such as a discount, free Supercharging miles, FSD trial, etc.
Tesla axed the Referral Program again
Last month, Tesla North America announced on X that the Referral Program will officially ended on April 30, 2024.
Nonetheless, program participants with leftover points can still utilize them to redeem rewards via the Tesla app. They can redeem various incentives, including a Home Charger and complimentary Supercharging miles, among others.
Latest Referral Program details
Tesla’s latest “Refer and Earn” program offered approximately $500 discount for new buyers of the Model 3 electric sedan and Model Y electric crossover using a referral link.
Meanwhile, the referrer gets 10,000 referral credits. Tesla also offered three months of free FSD trial in the US.
Tesla Model S and X buyers who used a referral link received a $1,000 discount and 3 months of free FSD trial. The referrer got 20,000 credit points.
They can use the credits to redeem merchandise or accessories in Tesla’s shop.
Tesla to launch a new Referral Program soon
The conclusion of the Referral Program disappointed current owners and interested customers.
In response to a query from FSD Beta tester Kristennetten on X, Tesla Chief Elon Musk revealed that a new Referral Program will arrive in just a “few months.”
Orders processed before April 30 may still benefit from the credits if delivery occurs after the deadline. Referral credits may also be redeemable after the same date, according to TSLA investor Sawyer Merritt.
