Tesla proudly just announced the start of Model Y deliveries in Turkey, posting photos of a Quicksilver variant of the electric SUV.
Tesla’s expansion in Turkey
Teslarati reports that the first Model Y deliveries occurred more than a year after Tesla’s announcement to launch the S3XY lineup in the country last year.
However, the planned launch did not materialize then. Still, the electric vehicle giant persisted in expanding its operations in Turkey.
For context, Tesla successfully secured a license for its potent Supercharger network in the country in March 2023. Notably, Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority only granted 119 companies with this license, which now includes Tesla.
Tesla’s Turkey expansion did not stop there, as it was followed by the launch of the company’s Design Studio in early April. Since then, Tesla has started accepting orders from Turkish customers for any of the S3XY lineup.
For reference, the Tesla Model Y’s prices in Turkey are as follows:
- Model Y Standard Range – 1,548,732 ₺ to $80,536
- Model Y Long Range All-Wheel-Drive – 1,619,532 ₺ to $84,218
- Model Y Performance – 1,778,821 ₺ to $92,501
Finally, the first Tesla Model Ys arrived in Turkey despite the delays.
