Electric vehicle giant Tesla is bringing its famous Referral Program to a whole new level with newly introduced rewards for some models, including substantial discounts and Full Self-Driving bonuses.
Tesla’s revamped Referral Program
Tesla is promoting its Referral Program to boost sales for the quarter’s end.
As observed by EV enthusiast @mahkusg, Tesla updated its loot box to include a three-month trial of FSD technology and a $1,000 discount for Model S and Model X vehicle purchases. They will also secure 3,500 loot box credits for purchasing Model 3 and Y vehicles.
On the other hand, referrers are now entitled to 20,000 credits for S and X referrals and 2,000 credits for 3 and Y models.
Apart from the FSD bonus and $1,000 discount for S/X purchases, current Tesla owners will also receive $1,500 loot box credits when they order a Model 3 or Y vehicle, which can be utilized to acquire features, upgrades, merchandise, or other accessories.
As you can observe, the incentives change depending on your role: referrer, buyer, or loyalty buyer.

It must be noted that the credits expire one year from the Grant Date. Therefore, customers must be able to take advantage of the incentives within a year of receiving them.
The fact that such incentives are only available to customers who place orders by June 30 suggests that Tesla is trying to increase sales by the end of the quarter.
