EV sales last month

FCAI reported that electric vehicle sales reached 11,042 units in June 2023, accounting for a record-breaking 8.8% of the overall car market.

Last month’s strong results raised the total EV sales to 43,092 units in the first half of 2023. Notably, this figure represents 7.4% of the overall market. Meanwhile, plug-in electric vehicles’ market share, including PHEV, hit 16.6%.

“The early adopters of the new powertrain technology continue to push up the sales of electric vehicles across the country. The steady introduction of new battery electric models across all model segments at more competitive price points is critically important as we deal with the challenges of supplying electric vehicles that meet business and personal consumer needs at prices the mainstream buyers can afford.”

FCAI CEO Tony Weber
