The highly anticipated Tesla Semi has again drawn attention with the release of the Tesla iOS App v4.14.3, which shows new images of a 3D model.
Exposed exterior and interior features
As per InsideEVs, several Tesla fans and app users noticed the images. Interestingly, the said images exposed a number of Class 8 electric truck‘s exterior and interior features:
Exterior | Interior |
· “suicide door” · front trunk · wide side mirrors (because North American law forbids the use of cameras in place of mirrors) · innovative windshield wipers · overall highly aerodynamic shape with simple lines · charging flap with a new charging inlet behind the cab ready for megawatt-level charging | · Two large screens are located on either side of the central driver’s seat. They display side-camera views, general vehicle information, and navigation. · two wireless phone charging bays · some storage · cup holders on the right side · a sizable sun visor is located above the driver and spans almost the full width of the cab · a folding passenger seat |
It is worth noting that Tesla’s Semi and smart cars are very comparable to one another generally. That said, the screens, steering wheel, and wireless charging pads look to be instances of a typical design aesthetic.
