A Tesla insider has confirmed the Tesla Model 3 Highland design update as well as other previously unreported design modifications, Teslascope reports on Twitter, citing the insider’s lead.

We received permission to share this other portion of our conversations regarding @Tesla's Project Highland (Model 3). These are dated March 1st.

There is no denying that everyone has a good cause to be enthusiastic about Project Highland. The future car’s design leaked this week, and key previously undisclosed changes have now been confirmed.

What are currently confirmed details about Project Highland?

Specifically, the insider’s statement attests to the veracity of the Reddit image of the updated Model 3, which features “Model S style headlights” and a smoother front grill.

It is yet unclear how Tesla’s plan to abandon “in-house seats” would affect interior design. Nonetheless, this clarification does highlight certain previously unreported updates. Based on previous reports, its interior adjustments will soon take place, such as the internal wood trim removal and its replacement with a fabric accent trim.

A significant set of productivity improvements will also be made to the Model 3 as part of the Highland upgrade, making it easier and less expensive to produce than ever before.

Sadly, no details on the Model 3’s mechanical improvements have been disclosed. A cheaper base price is expected, which aligns with Tesla’s recent actions.

Additionally, the new Model 3 may deliver at least detectable improvements to the range and general driving dynamics thanks to the numerous electronics updates that make several components “lighter, smaller, and more efficient.”
