Exterior and Interior Upgrade

Tesla finally revealed the highly-awaited Performance variant of the updated Model 3 electric sedan after numerous speculations, prototype spy shots, and leaks in recent months.

As you can observe, it seems very similar to the new Tesla Model 3 revealed in 2023. However, Tesla has undoubtedly put significant effort into improving this new version. In hindsight, previous Performance versions were only software-unlocked Model 3 LR Dual Motor units with improved brakes and a spoiler.

Now, Tesla has introduced multiple features to the new Model 3 Performance, including a new rear diffuser and front lip. It enables the electric sedan to deliver a more aggressive appearance compared to the regular variants.

Inside, Tesla also equipped the new Performance variant with a new rear screen and customizable ambient lighting, among others. Moreover, it also features new sports seats that are distinctive from the other variants.

It also features 15.4″ center touchscreen and an 8″ rear touchscreen.

Solid performance

Apart from the exterior upgrade, Tesla significantly improved the performance of the new variant of the refreshed Model 3. For instance, it can now accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds. It also yields an output of more than 500 horsepower owing to the new drive unit.

“Experience our latest generation Performance drive unit—the most powerful ever fitted to Model 3, enabling more than 500 horsepower and 0 to 60 mph in as little as 2.9 seconds.”

In addition, Tesla also introduced a new track mode for the updated Model 3’s Performance variant.

“Our latest Track Mode calibrates adaptive suspension, chassis and powertrain controls to give you more control behind the wheel. When driving on track, customize handling balance, stability control and regenerative braking precisely to your liking.”

Tesla

The Musk-led company also fitted a new adaptive damping system into the Tesla Model 3 Performance to further improve its driving performance. It also features bigger brake calipers, necessitating more stopping power to manage its 500 horsepower.

“An all-new adaptive damping system keeps Model 3 Performance planted to the road, so you can confidently tackle corners at any speed with maximum control and comfort.”

Tesla may have taken a long time to release the new Performance variant of the updated Model 3, but it is indeed worth the wait.
