The upcoming delivery event of the Cybertruck stirred a high level of excitement among Tesla and wider EV enthusiasts. It is unsurprising, considering the e-pickup’s innovative technologies and unique designs.

Production progress

Tesla has commenced the Cybertruck’s initial production ramp-up since the start of 2023, as reported by Teslarati.

In hindsight, the Musk-led company recently announced that the Cybertruck had entered the pilot production phase at the Giga Texas, hinting that only limited units will be available for initial deliveries.

“At Gigafactory Texas, we began pilot production of the Cybertruck, which remains on track for initial deliveries this year.”

Tesla

Tesla aims to reach its target of 1.8 million EV deliveries in 2023. That said, launching the Cybertruck this year is crucial for the company to accumulate the number it needs to reach that target. Impressively, the highly awaited Tesla model has already received more than 2 million reservations so far.
