Business tycoon Elon Musk has just disclosed that Tesla is already testing the highly-awaited Full Self-Driving (FSD) version 12.
The relevant updates occurred when famous Twitter/X blogger @WholeMarsBlog, followed by the Tesla Chief, urged the automaker to immediately release the FSD’s latest version to show people its improvements. It must be noted that the blogger is also a long-time FSD Beta user.
“Tesla needs to release the latest version of FSD to everyone so more people can see how good it is.”
WholeMarsBlog posted on X (former Twitter)
Tesla CEO Musk responded with new information regarding the imminent release of the FSD software update.
“You mean 11.4.7? That should be going to wide release within a week. Version 12, which is an almost total rewrite (~99% AI) is being tested by our QA drivers. Too much new code to go to the public yet, but it is mind-blowing imo.”

Tesla Chief’s previous FSD Beta v12-related remarks
CEO Elon Musk has always been excessively upbeat when it comes to the FSD Beta’s development and updates.
As EV-a2z previously reported, he boasted that the v12 alpha build was “mind-blowing” in late July. As you can observe, he used the same adjective in his latest post about the v12 update.
techAU suggests that the FSD Beta v12 will be an “end to end” software. For context, it is an AI design that employs a single neural network for training the software to perform all related tasks.

The recent updates from the Tesla boss indicate that the upcoming FSD v11.4.7 may offer minor bug fixes to prepare for the imminent launch of the v12.
The challenge would be the people’s acceptance of the FSD Beta software, which will be almost 99% AI as soon as the v12 arrives.
