Tesla begins preparations for deliveries of Model S Plaid in China, as per Tesmanian. A company customer reported he had received a notif he needed to make a final payment to prepare pickup of the vehicle.
The deliveries of the Model S Plaid in China may start soon. According to CnEVPost, one Chinese customer who pre-ordered the flagship sedan also received a notification from Tesla for the final payment. He confirmed it with relevant screenshots. This takes place as a part of the final preparation for delivery.
According to Model X/S customers, Tesla started sending notifications for the final payment of their vehicles.
Tesla began the initial delivery of Model S Plaid to the US market in June 2021. It is expected deliveries to China will start in the spring of 2022. However, the COVID-19 lockdown slows down the manufacturer. The plan’s execution got postponed, and exact dates were not specified.
Recent activity in China hinted Model S Plaid deliveries would begin soon. However, the official China website does not list delivery dates for the refresh Dual Motor, Model X, or Plaid Model S.
“Prices and specific configurations will be announced closer to delivery, at which point you will be notified to select your order,” states the site. “Until then, your order will be considered a pre-order, and you can cancel at any time for a full refund.”
Earlier this week, several photos of Model S Plaid were taken on the streets of China.
