Tesla, through its Chinese arm, has just announced a free Supercharging incentive for both new and existing local customers to further boost sales.
Tesla China offers limited-time free supercharging incentive
According to the poster Tesla published on its official Weibo account, the initial 140 customers who order a new electric car unit before June 20 can benefit from free 5,000 km (3,100 miles) of Supercharging.
Moreover, existing owners can also receive some incentives from Tesla China. The electric vehicle company is offering 600 km (372 miles) of free Supercharging to owners who replace two Goodyear tires at once at a Tesla service center within the next month.
The offer increases to 1,200 km (745 miles) of free Supercharging credits for existing owners who replace four Goodyear tires.
Tesla’s free Supercharging incentive seems to be provided by the global tire manufacturing company, as noted by CnEVPost.

That data indicates a 49% drop compared to 62,398 local sales in March 2024. It also represents a 21% year-on-year drop from 39,956 in April 2023.
Meanwhile, EV exports from Gigafactory Shanghai recorded a total of 30,746 units.
Other available deals
Tesla has been offering a wide range of incentives and programs to boost its sales in the Chinese market.
For instance, local customers of select Tesla Model Y and Model 3 inventory units can benefit from zero-interest loans with a down payment or even a zero-down payment incentive. Models must be produced by June 30 to qualify for the program.
Gigafactory Shanghai’s production only currently includes the Tesla Model Y and 3. Nonetheless, it remains the brand’s largest EV factory by volume.
In 2023, the local factory’s delivery surged a whopping 33% YoY to a total of 947,000 units. Remarkably, it also boasts a localization rate of more than 95%.
