On May 5, Indian automaker Tata Motors proudly reported selling a record 10,000 Tiago EVs since its deliveries started in January 2023.
Tata Tiago’s milestones
The press release noted that the Tiago EV has successfully reached 491 cities, traveling 11.2 million kilometers and avoiding 1.6 million grams of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere.
Tata Motors also boasted that the EV has not only turned into a market disruptor that provides “premiumness, safety and technology features and an eco-friendly footprint,” but is also a fun electric trendsetter that offers its users a superior driving experience.
The Indian brand further asserted that the Tiago is the fastest EV to reach the 10,000 mark in just below four months. Remarkably, it apparently secured 10,000 orders in just a day and 20,000 by December 2022.
“The Tiago EV since its launch has been creating milestones. From becoming the ‘Fastest Booked EV in India’ to becoming the fastest EV in India to achieve the 10,000 delivery mark, this electric hatch has left no stone unturned.
It was a result of our ambition to fast forward the ongoing evolution towards the future of mobility by introducing a car that would encourage the rapid adoption of EVs. And, we are so happy to see our vision realised as 10,000 families said yes to Go.ev with the Tiago EV.”
