American electric automaker Rivian has just expanded its current lease program to include its all-electric R1S SUV. It also extended the coverage of the lease program to a new state in the United States.
Background
Rivian officially launched the R1T pickup and R1S SUV in the US market in 2021. However, the automaker did not offer any lease deals for any of these flagship models until late 2023.
In hindsight, Rivian launched its inaugural lease program with the R1T electric pickup just two months ago.
Rivian initiated a lease program for pre-configured R1T models in late November 2023, with plans to include custom-built R1Ts and R1S SUVs. However, its coverage initially only comprised 14 states.
Lease program coverage
As mentioned, the lease program is now accessible to the customers of the R1S SUV. It also added the state of Illinois to the program’s coverage.
With this recent addition, customers can now lease the Rivian R1S’ pre-configured Quad-Motor AWD, Large Pack, Dual-Motor Large, and Max pack versions in the following states starting at $1,169/month:
