The zero-emission truck, unveiled as the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, will go into production under a different name sometime next year.

The fully electric Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept, unveiled by Stellantis‘ truck brand, aims to bring all the muscle-car energy that Mopar fans expect when a version of it goes into production in 2024. The automaker will officially unveil the production version in the coming months.

The Verge reported that more than that, the “Ram Rev” design foreshadows an entire generation of electric and electrified Ram trucks to be released in the coming years.

The Ram 1500 Revolution

Ram Trucks took their first step into the future with the Ram 1500 Revolution, a battery-electric vehicle concept that will go into production (in limited quantities) by 2024.

The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept begins with an ultra-modern design concept dubbed “brutiful” by the brand.

It features an animated and modernized RAM badge surrounded by a lit tuning fork design. LED lights are also used in the front bumper flares, animated LED taillights, and badging.

The fascia incorporates a skid plate and flush-mounted tow hooks, further cementing their reputation as America’s truck leader.

It is also worth noting that Ram will join the e-truck party after Ford and GM. The Dearborn-based automaker currently produces the F-150 Lightning, and General Motors delivers the GMC Hummer EV.

The Silverado EV and Sierra EV will follow soon, along with Rivian R1T.

Ram has yet to reveal the price of the 2024 Ram 1500 Rev and the trim levels and equipment that will be standard and optional.

Based on the current starting price of the F-150 Lightning, around $58,000, we believe the electric Ram 1500 will be priced similarly. Given the high MSRPs of the Lightning’s upper trim levels, the top Ram EVs will almost certainly match those.

This RAM Revolution EV concept will become a production RAM 1500 REV and will debut on SuperBowl Sunday and be available in 2024. This thing is WILD! With the STLA Frame EV platform

The Dodge Charger Daytona EV concept car that debuted a few months ago has the Ram Revolution’s appearance and driving dynamics.

Dodge decided it is not the same if the vehicle does not wake up the entire neighborhood upon even a slight throttle application.

Like that electric muscle car’s artificial wail to simulate engine noise, the Ram concept is heavy on gadgets and unique features.

Car Guide, the Ram 1500 Revolution has unprecedented flexibility in its class thanks to its STLA Frame EV platform from Stellantis.

The “grand saloon” style doors lead into a vast cabin approximately 101 millimeters or 4 inches longer than the present Ram 1500. A “one space environment”—Ram calls it limo-like—results from the absence of a B-pillar.

STLA Frame is the name of the vehicle design that underpins the 2025 Ram 1500 REV. It has a peak range of about 500 miles (800 kilometers) thanks to battery packs ranging from 159 to 200 kWh.

Ram will call their EV truck the Ram 1500 REV.

Towing capacity of more than 10,000 pounds

Ram did not provide specific figures when discussing the maximum towing capacity of the Ram 1500 Rev and did not mention payload capacity.

However, the company claims that its all-electric pickup truck will be able to tow more than its EV rivals. The F-150 Lightning currently has an official peak towing capacity of 10,000 pounds, so assume the Ram to exceed that.

Ram’s 800-volt system

Ram claimed the truck will have a driving range of up to 500 miles. That is 200 miles farther than the F-150 Lightning’s current range estimate.

At least in concept form, the electric truck can add up to 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes using 800-volt DC fast charging up to 350 kW, per the automaker.

The 800-volt system has a maximum power rating of 350 kW, which translates to 100 miles (160 kilometers) of driving range in 10 minutes of fast DC charging. Prospective buyers can also expect a multi-link rear suspension layout similar to that of the F-150 Lightning.

Luxurious interior

Car and Driver stated that the gas-powered Ram had provided a luxurious interior with high-quality materials that outperformed its competitors for a long time.

The switch to battery power will not change that. The fully-electric Ram 1500, which lacks an engine and other bulky powertrain components, promises to give clever ways to extend the storage for cowboys and contractors.

Adjustable seating and storage areas enable objects up to 18 feet long to fit from the bed to the frunk. The full-size pickup’s powered trunk, side steps, and rear tailgate make it simple.

A giant Ram Box with a multifunctional tailgate is also shown in the concept. It would most likely be included in the production pickup’s equipment list.

The concept’s cab is 4.0 inches longer than the current Ram 1500 crew cab and consists of a set of jump seats that convert to a third row.

Ram 1500 Rev’s features

Two 14.2-inch touchscreens control the interior entertainment system in the Ram 1500 Rev concept.

There is also a 360-degree camera, digital side mirrors, a head-up display, and voice assistance from Android’s Alex and Apple’s Siri. The infotainment system in the truck also includes a Smart Home Control function, which allows passengers to control lights, cameras, thermostats, and sound systems at home from the front seat.

Wireless phone charging, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay are expected to be standard features on the EV truck, as they are on the gas-powered Ram.

Ram can efficiently package the battery pack thanks to the body-on-frame design. The four-wheel steering gives up to 15 degrees of articulation, allowing for more excellent vehicle maneuverability while parking at low speeds or on off-road trails.

An adjustable air suspension system has three modes: ingress/egress, aero, and off-road.

The Ram 1500 Revolution will go into production in 2024 and will be joined by a portfolio of more fully electrified solutions.
