German sports car maker Porsche has just released the first-ever teaser photo of its “most dynamic Taycan of all time” ahead of its upcoming world premiere.
According to the press release, Vice President Product Line Taycan Kevin Giek, Porsche brand ambassador Timo Bernhard, and Porsche development driver Lars Kern will officially unveil the new Taycan top model on March 11, 2024.
Porsche upgrades its inaugural electric car
Porsche is now gearing up to introduce the Taycan’s new flagship performance version next week after announcing the upgraded 2025 Taycan early last month.
“We are continuing this success story with the extensively updated Taycan.”
Kevin Giek, Vice President Product Line Taycan
According to the German automotive brand, it improved the 2025 Porsche Taycan with extended range, faster charging capability, and more solid performance. It features a larger 105 kWh battery pack, a new thermal management system, and a next-generation heat pump to enhance the electric car’s efficiency.
Porsche claims the upgraded 2025 Taycan delivers an estimated driving range of 365 miles (587 km) after testing. It also supports up to 320 kW charging, enabling the battery to charge from 10% to 80% under optimal conditions. Impressively, it indicates a 50 kW charging capability increase compared to its predecessor.
In addition, the new RWD Taycan Turbo can also accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, up 0.6 seconds from the prior model.
Moreover, Porsche introduced the new push-to-pass function under the Sport Chrono package, offering a maximum power of 70kW. This innovative function lasts 10 seconds, raising the top model’s output to 938 horsepower. Therefore, the 2025 Porsche Taycan is currently the brand’s fastest offering to date.
Porsche Taycan Turbo GT teaser
Porsche officially previewed its “most dynamic” offering in history, “Taycan Turbo GT.”
As you can see in the shadowy teaser photo, the new Porsche Taycan Turbo GT features a sleek, sporty silhouette with an enormous rear spoiler and updated front end.
The new Porsche Taycan Turbo GT has been undergoing testing at the Nurburgring race track in Germany as the company seeks to refine it ahead of its official launch.
Porsche shared that a pre-series Taycan Turbo GT Lars Kern drove hit a record of 7:07:55 in the Nurburgring, indicating a 26-second advantage from the Porsche Taycan S Sport’s results in 2022.
“Twenty-six seconds is half an eternity in motorsport. Not only is that 18 seconds quicker than the Tesla Model S Plaid’s time of 7:25:31 set last June, but it puts the Taycan in the same league as electric hypercars.”
Kevin Giek, Vice President Product Line Taycan
That remarkable lap time advances the new Taycan Turbo GT’s position, with only over a 2-second disadvantage against Rimac Nevera’s record of 7:05:298.
We can expect to learn more about the new Porsche Taycan Turbo GT at its world premiere on March 11, 2024, at 2 pm CET.
