Peugeot confirmed that it will unveil its vision for the automotive design’s future in an electric era, the Inception Concept, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in early 2023, according to CarScoops.

The world premiere of the "#PEUGEOT #INCEPTION #CONCEPT" will take place on Thursday 5th January 2023 at the Consumer Electronic Show, the famous CES in Las Vegas, USA and we the @PSCUK_ will bring you all the latest information and details on the concept as soon as we get them. pic.twitter.com/CP2wPIVys2

The release will come off the new concept car on January 5, 2023.

While the Las Vegas show may look like an odd location choice for a French company that doesn’t sell any vehicles in the US to unveil a concept, the automaker points out that the show is the world’s largest dedicated completely to innovations and technologies.

Peugeot Inception Concept

The Peugeot Inception Concept was first introduced at the 2022 Paris Motor Show in October and is designed to show off the carmaker’s next generation of electric vehicles.

In addition, the concept will take advantage of its “BEV-by-design” platform to “turn the entire automotive experience upside down.”

The Peugeot Inception Concept will make its debut before the year’s end with the automaker’s future design philosophy. In addition, the prototype will ride on top of the automaker’s all-new STLA platform and it will incorporate the next-generation of the i-Cockpit. #Peugeot #BEVs pic.twitter.com/0MWo9onMZ2

This suggests that the Inception Concept will showcase the brand’s take on the STLA architecture, which was announced by its parent company, Stellantis, in 2021.

The electric-only platform will be able to underpin EVs with up to 500 miles (800 km of range). With four sizes to pick from (premium vehicles, AWD performance vehicles, small city cars, commercial vehicles, and trucks), power outputs will differ.

The platform will accept several electric powertrains that could deliver anywhere from 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS) to 885 hp (660 kW / 897 PS), depending on the application.

In addition, the automaker says that this concept will transform its design language for the future and will release a new interior concept. The next generation of the i-Cockpit will redefine “driving gestures” and create “new digital and physical experiences.”

Five new electric vehicles in the coming two years

The concept is likely to be crucial for the brand because Peugeot is planning on introducing five new EVs in the next two years. It anticipates having an electric version of every one of its vehicles by 2025 and going fully electric by 2030.
