With the Paris Motor Show 2022 taking place, Peugeot CEO Linda Jackson announced that the brand would unveil the Peugeot Inception Concept, presenting the vision for e-Native future generation cars in weeks to come, according to Electric Cars Report.
According to the press release from Stellantis, “the Peugeot Inception Concept will show the quantum leap the brand is soon to make in focusing on a dedicated 100% electric product offer.”
Meanwhile, the brand continues to capitalize on its e-products’ success and is currently expanding its electrified range.
The e-208 and the e-2008 ranked first and second for full electric car sales in Europe since the start of 2022. The all-electric versions of the new 308 and 308 SW will launch in 2023, with the new e-208 with 115 kW (15%) more output and an extended range of 10.5% (248 miles).
Additionally, the self-charging hybrid technology will be shown across the brand’s range next year, beginning with the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 models.
The new Peugeot 408, which just had its World Premiere in Paris, is available in two versions, 180 and 225 hp.
“2023 will be Peugeot’s electric year: As early as 2023, we will offer an electrified version of every Peugeot model. But we are also looking far beyond that. We will also continue to rapidly electrify our range and will launch no less than five full electric models within the next two years.” said Jackson
“This means that Peugeot will already have a 100% electric offer for all models in 2025. At the same time, we are preparing the launches of Peugeot’s next generation of e-Native models – based on new platforms designed for pure electric vehicles.”
The new concept will present how the Lion brand takes advantage of the electric-native’s next generation platforms to reshape the automobile experience.
The French automaker redesigns interior space, re-invents driving gestures around Peugeot’s next generation i-Cockpit, and builds new digital and physical experiences.
“This is what will be demonstrated by the Peugeot Inception Concept that we will reveal in weeks to come. Its name says it all: the Peugeot Inception concept will open the new 100% electric era for the Peugeot Brand with a promise: As early as 2030, 100% of the Peugeot models sold in Europe will be 100% electric.” Jackson stated.
It will also put the brand’s design language to the next level. It will further upgrade its typical traits like its feline posture and three-claw light signatures.
The Peugeot Inception Concept will provide a preview of the next generation of models and present the features and technology that customers will see on their Lion-branded vehicle from the mid-decade.
