Chinese automaker NIO will debut its new electric SUV offering, ES6, at this year’s Shanghai Auto Show on April 18.

According to NIO’s official website, the ES6 has an extra long range of 610 km (NEDC est.). It is apparently equipped with a 100 kWh battery pack.
Furthermore, it boasts a max power of 544 ps and an acceleration of 0-100 km/h* in just 4.7 seconds.
“Inheriting the high-performance DNA from race track to the road, the ES6 comes with a perfect duo of a permanent magnet motor and a high-performance sensor motor for both performance and endurance. The high-strength aluminum with carbon fiber guarantees a body light in weight, yet high in rigidity.”

An all-new episode for NIO
Interestingly, NIO refers to the upcoming auto show as a “new episode.” The EV brand aims to present its recent advancements in the automotive industry and future strategies at the special event.
That said, NIO will exhibit six electric models equipped with the company’s second-gen EV tech platform.
Apart from the planned ES6 debut, NIO also plans to unveil its flagship 2023 ET7 sedan at the auto show in China.
Furthermore, NIO ES8, EC7, ES7, and ET5 will also be displayed for EV enthusiasts to see. Customers will even be allowed to experience the EC7’s special N-Box Enhanced Entertainment Console and AR glasses.
NIO also announced plans to present its third-gen Power Swap Station and 500kW Power Charger.

Visitors will be able to experience NIO’s charging and swapping network on the interactive charging map, while users can select their preferred locations for the upcoming Power Swap Stations.”
