The next-generation Maserati Quattroporte is reported to be entirely electric in 2024. The Quattroporte EV will use the same chassis as the future Granturismo, per the latest report by the UK publication Autocar.

What is currently known about the electric Maserati Quattroporte?

Notably, an electric and an internal combustion engine version of the Granturismo will be offered by Maserati. That said, it is possible that the new Quattroporte will also be offered in a conventionally powered variant, according to InsideEVs.

The Folgore nameplate utilized by the Granturismo and Grecale EV versions should also be applied to the electric Quattroporte.

Named for a fierce Mediterranean wind, Grecale is Maserati’s second #crossover #SUV, below the Levante. Global debut as ICE & hybrid. Folgore variant in 2023 to be Maserati’s first-ever #EV model. For those who are wondering, Folgore is the Italian word for lightning.

The Quattroporte EV will probably use the same 105 kWh battery as the Grecale Folgore. Given that both cars will share a chassis, the Granturismo’s 92.5 kWh battery is also a possibility. Furthermore, it is safe to consider AWD and more than 500 horsepower as standard.

Interestingly, a substantially more potent version with an emphasis on performance might go on sale to compete with the Porsche Taycan Turbo S.

It is also worth noting that the Quattroporte EV might fall between the Granturismo Folgore (279 miles) and Grecale Folgore (300+ miles per charge) in range.

For reference, pricing for the latest ICE Quattroporte in the US starts at $97,995. However, its electric counterpart could cost significantly more.

Due to Ghibli’s retirement, the Quattroporte will soon be the sole sedan offered by Maserati. Therefore, the brand appears to seek to increase its exclusivity.

The pricing will likely start around $150,000, but that is just conjecture.

The next-generation Maserati Quattroporte will arrive around 2025 with an evolutionary design, a more tech-centric cabin this time around, as well as a fully-electric drivetrain. Expect more details to surface in the months to come. #Maserati #Quattroporte #Stellantis pic.twitter.com/tXant0Kihj

On the other hand, Maserati is developing a purely electric version of its flagship MC20 supercar in addition to the Folgore variations of the Quattroporte, GranTurismo, and Grecale. According to reports, the MC20 Folgore will have three motors available. Remarkably, it will be offered as a coupe or convertible, just like the combustion version.
