According to CarNewsChina founder @TychodeFeijter, the spied production models of the MG Cyberster are undergoing final inspection in an enormous holding yard in the company’s factory. Some of the units were being loaded onto trucks for shipment. However, the X post did not indicate the specific location.

Spy photos

As you can see in the spy photos, the MG Cybersters mostly feature red, grey, and ‘Bullet Silver’ body paints.

Reports suggest that the Cybersters will undergo production at its parent company SAIC’s Ningde plant, the same manufacturing site of the MG 4 electric hatch and MG 5 petrol sedan.

Drive also noted that the cars in the spy shots feature two different wheel layouts. It also showed that the models actually have Lamborghini-style’ scissor’ doors.

What’s currently known about the MG Cyberster?

The new MG Cyberster has a length of 4535mm, a width of 1913mm, and a height of 1329mm. Meanwhile, its wheelbase is measured at 2690mm.

It also features a heavier weight for a standard roadster, between 1850kg-1985kg.

It offers two powertrain configurations, including the single-motor rear-wheel drive and the all-wheel drive powertrain.

The RWD variant has a maximum power of 231kW. Meanwhile, the RWD can generate a maximum output of 400kW and a torque of 725Nm. It can also accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.2 seconds.

It will also offer two battery options, including the 64kWh or 77kWh. The larger battery pack option can enable a CLTC-estimated driving range of up to 580km.
