Tata Tiago EV
Tata Motors launched Tigor EV, making it their second mass-market EV on sale. The car is available in the range of Rs. 11.99 Lakh to 12.99 Lakh that’s is the most affordable passenger EV in India. The company claims a range of
306 Km on a full charge, and the car offers both normal and fast-charging options. The car is equipped with a 26kWh battery pack and offers a peak power f 75hp and 170Nm of torque.
Tata Nexon EV
Nexon EV is the second most affordable EV in India, offered by Tata Motors Ltd. The compact SUV features a 30.2kWh Li-Ion battery with a claimed range of 312km on a full charge. Power output for the Nexon EV is rated 129 ps while torque is at a health 245 Nm. The battery can be charged from zero to 80 % in just one hour using a DC fast charger, while the regular 15A socket will do the same job in about eight hours. Tata Nexon EV is priced between 13.99 to 16.90 lakh, ex-showroom.
MG ZS EV
MG ZS is a long-range EV with a battery pack of 44.5kWh with a claimed range of 419 km after its recent update.
The electric SUV offers a peak power of 143 hp and a torque output of 353 Nm. ZS offers the most cabin spaces and an expansive list of features, including e-SIM based connectivity. The car can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 50 mins using DC fast charger, but the same can be achieved using a 15A socket in around 18 hours’ time. All MG dealerships offer this fast charging facility for ZS customers. MG ZS prices start at Rs. 21 Lakh and go up to 24.4 lakh, ex-showroom.
Hyundai Kona
Hyundai was the first carmaker to launch an electric SUV in India with the Kona. The Kona is the direct rival to the MG ZS and priced ranges of Rs. 23.8 to 23.96 lakh, ex-showroom. Claimed range is 452 km. The car can be charged 0-80% in just 1 hr using DC fast charger, but the same can be achieved in 19 hours using an AC charger.
The car has a 39.2 kWh battery the offers 136 hp, and 395 Nm of torque offers a fun driving experience.
