German automotive brand Mini officially debuted the all-new Countryman Electric yesterday in North America before its deliveries start in 2024.
Debut highlights
BMW Group’s press release indicated that Mini USA held Countryman Electric’s debut at Climate Week NYC. It appeared at URBAN-X’s special panel named “Driving Forward: The Transforming of Future Mobility.” For context, it is the brand’s urban technology startup platform founded in 2016.
In hindsight, the model also made its global debut in early September at the IAA Mobility in Munich, Germany.
It will officially be available for customers as early as the fall of 2024 as part of the brand’s effort to become an all-electric brand by 2030.
“The all-new MINI Countryman Electric is a significant step as MINI moves to becoming a more sustainable and fully electrified brand by 2030. Sustainability is also a key mission of URBAN-X, our startup accelerator focused on climate tech innovations that help make city life better. That’s why it’s a perfect fit to showcase our next new electric MINI at URBAN-X on the occasion of Climate Week NYC.”
