British-Chinese automaker MG Motor, through its Indian arm, has successfully launched its new electric vehicle offering, the SUV-ZS.
This new EV impressively integrates electric power, autonomous driving, and internet connectivity features, making it a very interesting model despite the number of new launches in the market.
SUV-ZS details
MG Motor India claims that the new SUV-ZS has Autonomous Level 2 technology and whopping 17 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features that offer superior and comfortable driving experience in different circumstances.
The EV’s autonomous level 2 features include the following:
- LDW – Lane Departure Warning
- ELK – Emergency Lane Keep
- LKA – Lane Keep Assist
- SAS – Speed Assist System Info Mode (Speed Warning Mode)
- SAS – Speed Assist System Manual Mode
- SAS – Speed Assist System Intelligent Mode
- IHC – Intelligent Headlamp Control
- FCW – Fordward Collision Warning
- AEB – Automatic Emergency Braking System
- AEB – Pedestrian
- Intelligent Hydraulic Braking Assistance
- TJA – Traffic Jam Assist
- ACC – Adaptive Cruise Control
- BCA – Bend Cruise Assistance
- RCTA – Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- BSD – Blind Spot Detection
- LCA – Lane Change Assist
Interestingly, its ADAS system supports three sensitivity levels: low, medium, and high. It also has three levels of warning: haptic, audio, and visual. These levels effectively improve drivers’ driving experience and safety.
The EV claims to have a driving range of up to 461 km between charges owing to its 50.3kWh advanced prismatic battery. It also has an 8-layer hairpin motor that generates a maximum power of 176PS.
Moreover, it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds. It also has three driving modes, Eco, Normal, and Sport, enabling drivers to configure their vehicle depending on their preferences and requirements.
The EV also offers iSMART next-gen technology, combining hardware, software, services, and applications to support over 75 connected car features.
As for the pricing, the SUV-ZS starts at Rs 27.89 lakh.
