Chinese electric vehicle startup Li Auto unveiled its new seven-seater people mover, Mega, at the Auto Guangzhou 2023 on November 17.
What’s currently known about the Li Mega?
Li Auto stated in the press release that the new Li Mega will serve as the brand’s high-tech flagship family MPV.
Design
The Li Mega has an exterior appearance that makes it look like a cast from the next Robocop movie, Drive asserted.
It incorporates the petrol-powered Hyundai Staria MPV with Tesla’s Cybertruck. It has a length of 5.3 meters, width of sub-2 meters, and a wheelbase of 3.3 meters. CarNewsChina.com also noted that the model sports retractable door handles, sophisticated roofline, and aerodynamic wheel covers. It has a front LED running light strip and high beams. Its rear has a smoked taillight and roof spoiler. Inside, its seat configuration supports 7 people for a 2+2+3 layout.
Li Auto also boasts that Li Mega redefines MPVs’ design aesthetics.
“Li MEGA revolutionizes the conventional and formulaic appearance design inherent in traditional MPVs, leading the new aesthetic trend of family MPVs. The design based on aerodynamics balances space and a high-capacity battery, enabling ample cabin space with a low drag coefficient.”
