South Korean automaker Kia has just teased its updated 2025 EV6 electric car on popular social media platform Facebook.

According to Drive, Kia released the teaser images ahead of the facelifted EV6’s official debut in late May and the Australian launch in H2 2024.

Exterior design

As you can see in the photos, the updated 2025 Kia EV6 will feature new, angular headlights from the brand’s latest electric car concepts.

Kia has released its first official teaser images for the 2025 EV6 prior to its full unveiling later this spring. In addition, the CUV will reportedly receive ccNC infotainment and be offered with the Hyundai Ioniq 5’s 84-kWh NCM battery pack. #Kia #KiaEV6 #EV6 #BEVs #EVs #CUVs pic.twitter.com/350R93ADBG

The revamped angular headlights are separated by a new notched trim panel similar to the K4 car.

It also received a new rear tail-light bar and narrower LED signature. It also had several updates to the bumper and wheel designs.

“It pretty much retains the [existing overall] design, [but there will be] some enhancements to the headlights to incorporate the [latest Kia] design language.”

Interior features

The Australian automotive news website expects the facelifted 2025 Kia EV6 to feature Hyundai’s latest “ccNC” infotainment software. This new software features dual 12.3″ screens and possibly an extra 5″ instrument panel for AC configurations.

Therefore, the updated model will get wireless Apple CarPlay and Kia Connect smartphone app integration. It will also come with an over-the-air (OTA) software update capability and additional active safety features.

Technical details

Kia has yet to announce the official technical details of the 2025 EV6. Nonetheless, several expectations for the facelifted model include a larger 84 kWh battery pack similar to the new Hyundai Ioniq 5. It indicates a notable increase from the current model’s 77.4 kWh.

It is also expected to get a driving range improvement from the current EV6, which claims the following figures:

  • Rear-wheel-drive (RWD) Air – 528 km
  • RWD GT-Line – 504 km
  • all-wheel-drive (AWD) GT-Line – 484 km
  • GT AWD – 424 km

Kia apparently plans to officially reveal the new 2025 Kia EV6 later this month. It will arrive in Australian showrooms by the end of 2024.
