Kia America and Electrify America have established a partnership to deliver 500 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of complimentary electric vehicle charging at any Electrify America station in the United States. This is exclusive to owners of the all-new second-generation 2023 Kia Niro EV, as reported by PR Newswire. Depending on the driving style and external factors, the charge credit might allow Niro EV owners to go up to 1,950 miles.

Kia America is currently based in Irvine, California. Remarkably, it continues to lead automobile quality assessments and has been named one of the 100 Best Global Brands.

Furthermore, Kia is the NBA’s “Official Automotive Partner,” selling a variety of gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles through a network of over 750 dealers in the United States.

“With the launch of the new Niro EV, we are expanding our collaboration with Electrify America to enable Niro EV drivers to experience all-electric road trips with the added benefit of quick recharging,” said Steven Center, COO & EVP, Kia America.

The all-electric Niro EV has a range of 253 miles. It is powered by a 64.8 kWh battery and a 150kW (201-horsepower) motor with DC fast-charging capabilities.

Impressively, the Niro EV can be charged from 10% to 80% in about 45 minutes using a DC fast charger with a maximum charging capability of 85 kW.

In cold weather, an optional heat pump and battery warmer aid in maintaining range and charging the Niro EV more rapidly.

“Kia and Electrify America understand the importance of DC fast charging for electric vehicle drivers,” said Giovanni Palazzo, president and chief executive officer of Electrify America. “We are thrilled to expand the collaboration and help provide Niro drivers with confident DC fast charging on our coast-to-coast network of 800 stations.”

Kia Niro EV drivers may use in-car navigation to find Electrify America charging stations and access the DC charging network via the smartphone app. After activating and enrolling in Kia Connect, the owner receives a one-time enrollment code for the Electrify America app via the Kia owner’s portal or the Kia Access App.

The subcompact 2023 Kia Niro will arrive in U.S. showrooms later this fall from $27,785. In addition, the mid-level Niro EX can be had from $30,385, while the range-topping Niro SX comes in at $33,785. #Kia #KiaNiro #Niro #crossovers #hybrids pic.twitter.com/qWDqZCo8VY

On the other hand, the complimentary charge credit will be available to owners for three years from the date of purchase.
