The Aviation giant’s automotive unit indicated in its Weibo post on Friday that the new EV will offer “aviation-grade service standards and quality” to exceed expectations.

“A few days ago, our hand-drawn drawings were announced, and the feedback from friends was quite enthusiastic, and the real car drawings of the first product of Jixiang Automobile are also here to share with you, [Jixiang AIR] definitely exceeds expectations!”

Exterior design

JuneYao Auto emphasized that it developed the Air EV based on “minimalistic aviation aesthetics,” also known as “Ultimate One-Box.” It rides on a full-stack electric architecture.

It sports a fastback shape with concealed door handles and triangular windows. It also features multi-spoke rims and a layered rear. The car’s rear end has prevalent through-type taillights and a ducktail spoiler.

The front part features distinctive sharp LED headlights, a closed face, and a trapezoidal grille. It also has a panoramic sunroof and six available exterior colors, including Cloud White, Morning Glow Pink, Sky Blue, Earth Green, Sunrise Gold, and Dawn Black.

Interior features

A leaked interior photo of the JuneYao Air revealed its small LCD instrument panel with a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel.

Its center console also features a big suspended center control screen, two cupholders, and a wireless charging pad.

JuneYao Auto has yet to reveal the official interior photos of the new model, probably on its upcoming debut in the second quarter of the year.

As for the technical details, the Chinese automaker has not yet announced the key specifications of the new model.

Pricing and availability

JuneYao Auto’s new Air EV will make its official debut in the second quarter of 2024. The company also confirmed plans to launch the model in the local market in 2025. According to Cars News China, the JuneYao Air will sell below 200,000 yuan (28,000 USD).

The imminent market launch of the new JuneYao Air is part of its parent company, JuneYao Airlines’, efforts to offer a “comprehensive travel solution” such as airport pick-up and drop-off, destination car rental, and airport parking.
