Ideanomics, a global company focused on accelerating electric vehicles’ commercial adoption, announces that its subsidiary Energica currently has 24 certified dealers in the US, accounting for 33% of product sales, as per PR Newswire.

Exciting news about our subsidiary @EnergicaMotor! We’ve successfully expanded our dealership network to include 24 certified dealers w/ third-party financing to boot. Important because the U.S. represents 33% of product sales. https://t.co/crG6mhzh6C

It is worth noting that to enable this dealer expansion, Energica and Ideanomics secured strategic third-party financing.

This is a validation of our brand and products. In less than a year, Energica has doubled its production, introduced new models with a wider market appeal and secured its first fleet orders. With strategic third-party capital, this growth can continue even faster.

Ideanomics Mobility president, Robin Mackie

With a recently expanded manufacturing facility with state-of-the-art semi-automated assembly lines, Energica will soon produce up to 2,000 units annually (and more soon after) of all four models: the EsseEsse9 retro-style bike, the Eva Ribelle e-fighter, the Ego sportbike and the new Experia Green Tourer which just started production.

Motorcycles produced at the Soliera facility are sold via subsidiaries or international importers, to individual Energica dealers, or directly to consumers in some cases where there’s no available dealer representation.

New Energica dealers

The newest Energica dealers in the US are Cross Country Cycles in New Jersey, with two locations, Monarch Powersports near Salt Lake City, Utah, South Sound Cycles in Tacoma, Washington State, and Fulgora Powersports in Orange County, California.

Typically, new dealers place an initial order of up to four motorcycles for test rides’ demo units. This generates immediate revenue and enables larger, long-term sales volume as customers and dealers experience the power and performance of Energica Motorcycles.

Some of the first certified Energica dealers consistently saw up to ten times the sales volume since getting their demo bikes.

More certified Energica dealers in 2023

In the US, Energica has plans to add another ten certified dealers next year and to expand to markets in the western hemisphere.

The combination of a rapid-growing dealer network and industry-leading production capacity positions Energica to meet orders from large fleet operators like police fleets.

Energica & UTOMOCORP partnership

Recently, Energica partnered with UTOMOCORP to provide 88 EsseEsse9+ bikes to the Indonesian National Police and introduced a specialty variant of the Experia made for police departments.

Energica sales growth from last year

Year to date, Energica sold 78% more motorcycles than at the same time in 2021. In addition, Energica has a backlog of orders for its newest product offering, the Experia electric sport-touring bike.

With ongoing support from Ideanomics, Energica boosts the disruption of the global two-wheeler market with its high-performance e-motorcycles. Furthermore, the company provides technology and expertise to other industries with its Energica Inside business unit.

Ideanomics solves fleet electrification’s complexity, offering fleet operators everything they need to electrify easier, faster and more affordably.
