Hyundai Motor Group, through its Advanced Air Mobility unit Supernal, will introduce its eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicle) concept and other technologies at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 on Tuesday.
According to the press release, it will mark the second time Supernal will participate in the highly awaited event after making its debut at the CES 2020.
Honda’s exciting entries
Honda will reveal Supernal’s new eVTOL aircraft and a “vertiport” exhibition at the CES 2024 on January 9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Vertiport is a pickup and drop-off facility like an airport, which will rise in front of the West Hall entrance to the Las Vegas Convention Center. The exhibition will allow attendees to experience the following:
- View Supernal’s vehicle concept
- Get a flight simulation across LA
- Gain insights on potential flight networks
- Comprehend mobility hubs’ significance to ease of travel
Automotive News further reported Honda’s plans to introduce a new electric vehicle series for the global market. In addition, Hyundai will also reveal two extra-large pods (mother shuttle) to carry other smaller pods (Personal Mobility PnD pods) and transfer them to their respective destinations. They reportedly ride on Hyundai’s “Plug & Drive” modular platform.
