What’s special about the Hyundai Ioniq 5?

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 boasts a maximum driving range of 303 miles. It also supports 800V fast charging that can replenish the state of charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.

It rides on the South Korean company’s E-GMP platform, which was specifically developed for electric vehicles. Moreover, it offers vehicle-to-load (V2L), which allows owners to tap into the battery pack’s stored energy in case of emergency or outdoor activities.

It also offers a complete package for best value with a base price of $41,450. This pricing makes the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 more affordable than its competitors, including the Toyota bZ4X ($42,000), Ford Mustang Mach-E ($42,995), and Nissan Ariya ($43,1390).

All that said, it is unsurprising that the Hyundai Ioniq 5’s sales almost hit the 34,000 threshold in the US in 2023.

New deal

Hyundai reportedly sent a memo to its authorized dealers to inform them about the new deal for the Ioniq 5, further reducing the already low base price.

According to the memo, interested buyers of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 can benefit from up to $15,000 in savings when they opt to lease the model.

Notably, the $7,500 in lease cash is still available for the Hyundai Ioniq 5. It added an extra 7,500 Final Pay Incentive to increase the overall customer savings to $15,000.

Hyundai has become the second most popular EV brand in the US

Hyundai, including its Kia and Genesis brands, successfully overthrew American legacy automakers Ford and General Motors as the second best-selling brand behind Tesla in the US market in 2023, Torque News reports.

Hyundai also advanced as the second automaker in reducing C02 emissions and increasing fuel economy behind the Musk-led company, as revealed by the EPA.

In Full Year 2023, Hyundai enjoyed a 103% YoY increase in its EV sales as customers sought functional electric vehicle models.

Notably, the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 lease deal is only effective until January 31 on all 2023 Model Year units. However, online auto research firm CarsDirect warned interested buyers that the model is nearly selling out at the majority of the dealers. Therefore, buyers must hurry to obtain the cutting-edge electric vehicle model.
