Chinese YouTuber WuWa published a video content on his channel that revealed hundreds of facelifted Tesla Model 3 Highlands in a parking lot in Shanghai.
Interestingly, the electric vehicle giant mostly uses that particular lot to gather its cars before export. Moreover, these units apparently have an EU logo.
Content highlights
As you can see in the video embedded at the bottom part of this article, the new Tesla Model 3s are isolated from the other ones in a huge square.
The cars appear to have different body paints, including black, blue, and red, and the dominating white.
As mentioned, the content creator claims that the spotted models have EU logos. That said, these Highlands may be meant for the European market.
Europe may advance as the first-ever market to receive deliveries of the new Model 3. It can also occur at the same time as China. For context, deliveries in the Asian country will begin in Q4 2023.
Tesla Model 3 Highland daily production rate in Giga Shanghai
Wu Wa also indicated unofficial reports claiming that Tesla Model 3 Highland currently has a daily production capacity of about 300 units at Giga Shanghai.
It is worth noting that this output is just a very tiny share of the Gigafactory’s full production capacity.
For context, Giga Shanghai has just recently produced its two millionth electric car. Notably, Tesla Model Y’s production currently dominates most of the production operations on the site.
