Honda to launch the 2024 Prologue with $47K base price

Japanese legacy automaker Honda has finally announced the official pricing of its first-ever electric SUV, the 2024 Prologue. According to the press release, the new model will have a starting price of $47,400 when it hits dealerships in March 2024.

Power and performance

Honda promises to deliver the Prologue with the “highest standard driving range rating in its class” at 296-mile EPA range. 

The all-new 2024 Honda Prologue will come with five trims, including the EX 2WD, EX AWD, Touring 2WD, Touring AWD, and Elite AWD. Presented below are the key specifications of the electric SUV:

Standard features

Honda outlined that all 2024 Prologues will come with the following key features:

  • Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technologies
  • 19″ aluminum alloy wheels
  • Google built-in
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto
  • Wireless phone charger
  • 10-way power driver seat with adjustable lumbar support
  • Heated front seats
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Sirius XM satellite radio

Apart from these features, future Honda Prologue owners can also benefit from industry-leading charging solutions, including those from the Tesla Supercharger network, EVgo, and Electrify America. Buyers can also choose among the three available packages included in the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP). Refer to the table below:

It must be noted that these prices do not yet include the $1,395 destination charge and any government incentives. The Honda Prologue currently has no access to the Inflation Reduction Act’s up to $7,500 tax credits in the US. However, customers can still benefit from the incentive through leasing.

Honda aims to start delivering the 2024 Prologue as early as March this year. 

The upcoming Honda Prologue electric SUV will play a significant role in the company’s efforts to achieve its target of 100% zero-emissions vehicle sales by 2040.
