General Motors, through its luxury brand, officially revealed on Tuesday the highly-awaited 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ in New York. Notably, this new Caddilac large SUV is an electric version of the iconic Escalade model.

 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ details

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will follow the launch of the brand’s maiden EV Cadillac Lyriq and its ultra-luxury flagship model  Cadillac Celestiq. It somehow reflects the appearance of the original Escalade from 25 years ago but with a sleeker design.

However, it now sports an enormous battery pack. That said, the company designed it to have a wider body with a flatter and lower floor to perfectly integrate the battery. It also features a more extended hood, sloping roof, and large wheels to enable a sportier appearance than its predecessor.

The model will also utilize its parent company’s popular Ultium battery platform with an output of 200 kWh. Cadillac claims that the new Escalade IQ EV can get an additional driving range of 100 miles in just 10 minutes by using an 800v DC fast charger.

Remarkably, the new all-electric version of the Cadillac Escalade will have a 450-mile estimated driving range. That said, it is set to be GM’s longest-range EV offering to date.

It provides a maximum output of 750 horsepower when “Volocity Max” is activated. It also offers multiple safety and convenience technologies like the company’s Super Cruise autonomous driving software and audio system.

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is a 222.4-inch long, 750 horsepower electric behemoth packing an estimated 450 miles of range from its 200 kWh battery. Oh, it has a 55-inch touchscreen inside and a 40-speaker AKG sound system. Insane? Absolutely. What do you think? pic.twitter.com/qCxygbhDel

For context, it set a target of fully electrifying the Cadillac brand by 2030. That said, the Cadillac Escalade IQ will influence the company’s decision regarding the continuity of the production of its internal combustion engine-powered Escalade products.

“It’s a big deal,” $GM President Mark Reuss says on the all-electric 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ. “This is plus business for us. We have a lot of demand for an Escalade or an SUV that is luxury, that is an EV. We know that.” pic.twitter.com/L15lrjP8Xf
