Electric vehicles manufactured by General Motors and other automakers will play a starring role in some of the upcoming content that will be available on Netflix Inc.
According to Auto.com, the streaming service announced on Thursday that it had reached an agreement to include automobiles such as the Chevrolet Bolt, the electric GMC Hummer pickup, and the Cadillac Lyriq “where relevant” in upcoming episodes of television shows and movies.
To broadcast in Super Bowl on February 12th
The partnership between the two businesses will be highlighted in a commercial starring Will Ferrell that will be broadcast during the Super Bowl on February 12th.
Netflix and GM have referred to the partnership as “part of a commitment to a more sustainable future” in their agreement announcement.
The particulars of the financial arrangement were kept private.
Nextflix to provide assistance to content creators
Netflix has stated that it will provide assistance to content creators in “better understanding how EVs can complement and improve their stories.”
It has been decided that the television shows “Love is Blind,” “Queer Eye,” and “Unstable” will all feature General Motors’ electric vehicles.
According to the company, Netflix productions will also include electric vehicles manufactured by companies other than Netflix.
