2021-launched GV60 to get a major facelift

The South Korean automotive brand is already developing a facelifted version of its GV60 electric SUV, three years after its launch in 2021.

The Genesis GV60 shares the same E-GMP EV platform with Hyundai’s award-winning IONIQ 5. It features a minimalist interior with the concept “Beauty of the White Space.” It comes with three powertrains, including the 2WD, AWD, and AWD Performance.

In addition, all variants feature a 77.4 kWh battery that can deliver a driving range of 235 miles to 294 miles. It sports the brand’s iconic design, such as a crest grille, two-line LED headlights, and a contemporary Clamshell hood. Inside, it has new floating architecture, stylish infotainment, and a crystal sphere.

Now, the company is working on the GV60’s updated version, offering new designs and features.

Feature updates

South Korean content creator ShortsCar had a chance to film the GV60 facelift while testing on public roads. As you can observe from the video, the new GV60 sports sleek new headlights that highlight its more sporty design. Interestingly, the design update is highly likely part of Genesis’ efforts to improve the electric SUV’s efficiency.

The facelifted Genesis GV60 seemed to appear in the background during the newest brand ambassador, Jack Ickx’s introduction early this month, featuring a new air intake.

Pricing

Unfortunately, Genesis has not yet announced the new GV60’s powertrain specifications and prices. For reference, presented below are the 2024 Genesis GV60 prices and range:

2024 Genesis GV60 trimPrice
(including $1,195
destination fee)
Range
(EPA estimated
miles)
Standard RWD$53,350294
Advanced AWD$61,900264
Performance AWD$70,900235

The imminent launch of the facelifted Genesis GV60 is crucial for the company’s goal of becoming an all-electric brand by the end of the decade. Genesis almost quadrupled its electric vehicle sales in the US market in 2023. Therefore, it is unsurprising that the South Korean brand seeks to maintain its sales growth this year.
