The South Korean luxury automaker Genesis is expanding the reach of its 2023 Electrified G80 sedan by adding four new states to its list of sales locations, as per InsideEVs. As the future all-electric brand strives to increase the availability of its electric vehicles, the total of US states now stands at 12.
The initial states that the Genesis Electrified G80 entered are the following:
· Arizona
· California
· Connecticut
· Nevada
· New Jersey
· New York
· Utah
· Washington
It was followed by the following additional states:
· Maryland
· Massachusetts
· New Hampshire
· Virginia
However, it must be noted that only authorized retailers sell the Electrified G80.
Electrification efforts
The Hyundai Motor Group member aims to sell only electric vehicles by 2030.
The brand has already debuted three battery-electric vehicles this year. It comprised the E-GMP-based Genesis GV60, Genesis Electrified G80, and Genesis Electrified GV70. It is worth noting that the latter two are equipped with E-GMP parts.
Electrified G80
Remarkably, it also offers a lot of unique features that its gas counterpart lacks in addition to the all-electric drivetrain.
The executive sedan was offered “in a single fully appointed configuration.” Its price starts at an MSRP of $79,825.
“The signature crest grille has evolved with a unique G-Matrix pattern incorporating an integrated charging port. Additional new features of the Electrified G80 include exclusive 19″ wheels and a unique rear bumper execution. The interior continues a more sustainable eco-friendly leather and fabric along with available forged wood trim throughout the cabin. Electrified G80 brings a new exterior color option to the Genesis palette in Matira Blue and a new interior color with Dark Lagoon Green/Glacier White.”
Apart from that, the Genesis Electrified G80 also includes three years’ worth of free 30-minute charging sessions at Electrify America stations.
Furthermore, its ability to recharge from 10 to 80% state-of-charge (SOC) in 22 minutes makes fast charging one of its best attributes (at least, using a high-power, 800 V charger).
