South Korean automaker Genesis proudly announced on February 7 that it has officially expanded its electric vehicle sales into its 13th state in the US.
“We are pleased to offer our award-winning lineup of electric vehicles to even more American consumers. Customers have been waiting patiently to get into GV60 and the Electrified G80, and we are pleased to expand the availability of these models to Colorado.”

Genesis officially launches EV sales in Colorado
As Genesis strives toward being a 100% EV brand by 2030, customers may now start asking their local dealer about the GV60 and Electrified G80‘s availability.
That said, Colorado now offers both of Genesis’ current EV versions for purchase (pending availability). However, the situation is different for the automaker’s other markets in the US. For instance, the GV60 cannot be purchased by clients in Virginia, only the Electrified G80.
The current breakdown of Genesis’ EV sales is as follows:
- The 2023 Genesis GV60 is currently available for purchase in authorized retailers in nine states:
Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Utah, and Washington
- The Electrified G80 executive sedan is available for purchase in select retailers in 13 states:
Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Utah, Virginia, and Washington
Under the Genesis-Electrify America partnership, the automaker still provides the EVs it sells in the aforementioned states with three years of free 30-minute charging sessions on the coast-to-coast charging network of Electrify America.
Remarkably, the Genesis Connected Services and Electrify America smartphone apps make it easy for owners of the 2023 GV60 and Electrified G80 to find and use charging stations while on the road.
