Japanese legacy automaker Toyota and Chinese partner GAC have started to deploy the new Bozhi 4X electric SUV in local dealerships, marking the inaugural model of the joint venture’s sub-brand Bozhi.
According to Electrek, GAC Toyota initially launched the 4X electric SUV on November 17 this year with a 179,800 yuan ($25,200) – 238,800 yuan ($33,500) price range. It is apparently the Toyota bZ4X’s “upgraded version.”
Exterior design
The all-new Bozhi 4X is an all-electric SUV with a hammer shark-style front face and multi-eye LED lights. It features a black roof, black exterior mirrors, and blackened A, B, and C pillars. Its charging port is located on the right front fender.
As for the dimensions, the EV has a length of 4,690 mm (185 inches), width of 1,860 mm (73 inches), and height of 1,650 mm (65 inches). It mirrors the exact size of the Toyota bZ4X and rides on the same e-TNGA architecture.
Interior features
GAC Toyota’s Bozhi 4X offers up to 12.3″ navigation central control screen, which supports faction recognition. It also has a 7″ instrument panel and a three-spoke oval-shaped multi-function steering wheel.
It also has Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife+, and HUAWEI HiCar integration, adhering to Chinese customers’ three most preferred connectivity platforms.
The model’s Pro variant has wireless charging, high-grade leather seats, a heated steering wheel and front seats, a panoramic monitoring system, and more.
The top-tier variant also includes smart wireless charging, but it has the following extras: grip-controlled crawling mode, X-Mode four-wheel drive, and intelligent park assist.
Nonetheless, all models have generous interior storage and multiple physical buttons. An 8″ display screen, Toyota smart cockpit, driving assist features, and connectivity also come standard in the base model.
The model is available in three interior colors: black, gray, and red.
