American legacy automaker Ford formally announced in a press release that it will boost its initial plan of adding 12,000 Tesla Supercharger stations in its electric vehicle charging network to a total of 15,000 units.
“Continuous growth of the BlueOval Charge Network, including a critical focus on reliable fast charging, remains a top priority to provide the best possible electric driving experience for our customers. With the addition of the Tesla Supercharger Network along with new fast chargers coming to Ford Model e dealerships in 2024, we are working hard to make range anxiety a thing of the past for Ford all-electric drivers.”

Ford to provide 15K Tesla Superchargers to its owners
Ford aims to add another 3,000 Tesla Supercharger locations under the BlueOval Charge Network, expanding customers’ access to more reliable charging technology.
Notably, Ford was the first established automaker to partner with Tesla for the North American Charging Standard (NACS) adoption in May. In effect, it encouraged the following EV players to follow suit:

At that time, Ford stated that its EV customers could benefit from more than 12,000 Tesla Superchargers in the North American region early next year through adapters. By the following year, Ford will eliminate the need for such adapters by integrating NACS port in its next-gen models.
Now, Ford decided to expand the number of Tesla Supercharger stations to 15,000.
“Ford has increased to the estimated amount of Tesla Superchargers to the BlueOval Charge Network next year from 12,000 previously announced to more than 15,000 confirmed and growing.
These fast, reliable chargers will be available next spring to Ford EV customers via an adapter, which will become available on accessories.ford.com early next year.”

BlueOval Charge Network expansion
Electrek reported Ford’s plans to expand its BlueOval Charge Network in the region by 25%, featuring more than 106,000 chargers.
Moreover, Ford also disclosed three new partnerships with Fracis Energy, Blink, and Red E just this month. These new partnerships will enable Ford EV owners to access more than 10,000 chargers, including over 550 new DC fast chargers.
Apart from these, Ford also aims to achieve “significant additional DC fast charger growth” by early 2024. It plans to prioritize locations within 25 miles near Ford dealerships, considering 96% of the US citizens live there.
Ford electric vehicle owners will gain access to more than 15,000 Tesla Superchargers starting next spring. To improve customers’ driving experience, Ford also updated Charge Assist to aid drivers in navigating the nearest charging station, making payments, and beginning the charging stations.
