“EV demand and sales are topping all industry expectations and are forecasted to exceed more than 45% of US light-duty vehicle sales by 2030. As new EV drivers hit the road, they will look for fast charging that is safe, accessible, convenient, intuitive, and reliable. This is why we designed FLO Ultra – to provide the ultimate EV charging experience.”

Nathan Yang stated, FLO’s Chief Product Officer

Fast EV charging in a clever, adaptable package

The FLO Ultra charger has a simple but innovative design, with two high-powered charging ports housed in a rugged aluminum enclosure.

According to a report, it can charge most EVs to 80% in 15 minutes using dynamic power sharing and up to 500 kW* when multiple electric vehicle charging stations are linked.

These level 3 EV chargers can be arranged in various ways, giving drivers more parking options and making installation easier for site hosts.

“FLO Ultra’s flexible and modular design accommodates charging on one or both sides and parallel or pull-in parking for charging.”

FLO Ultra charging station to accommodate all drivers’ needs

The FLO Ultra charging station was structured for driver comfortability and is excellently simple for EV drivers searching for charging and getting back on the road.

“Before FLO Ultra, fast chargers were often viewed as intimidating and imposing. We want all drivers to feel comfortable, safe, and secure when charging, and FLO Ultra’s design reflects this. This is a charger for all drivers.”

Nathan Yang stated, FLO’s Chief Product Officer

The FLO Ultra charger has a low horizontal profile due to its sleek design, and its highly visible luminous canopies make it easy to find. State-of-charge indicators inform drivers immediately if the DC fast charging station is ready for use.

The new charger also has a patent-pending motorized wire management system. This system keeps cables off the ground, and the extended reach allows charging despite vehicle port placement.

Most relevantly, the motorized design makes the lines feel lighter and simpler to maneuver, lowering strain on users.

Furthermore, the FLO Ultra charging station has an individual color touchpad display for each charging cable. It supports flexible and safe payment plans for easy and quick transactions.

Crafted to last in North America

FLO Ultra chargers will be accessible in 2024 and meet NEVI basic standards, including Buy America prerequisites.

NEVI will provide states with $5 billion in formula funding to build charging infrastructure along highway corridors, filling gaps in rural, disadvantaged, and difficult-to-reach areas while instilling public trust in electric car charging stations.
