Notably, the good news came after a months-long delay in the production of the company’s first luxury EV, FF 91 Futurist Alliance.

In retrospect, the FF 91 was first introduced in 2017 with plans for a 2018 production. However, as we all know, that plan did not materialize.

Today we started production of the FF 91 Futurist Alliance, designed to break new boundaries in the ultra-luxury car market. Read the press at https://t.co/TcHihQ2U7N to learn more about our future sales and growth plans. $FFIE #FaradayFuture #FF91 pic.twitter.com/M9Gq0I4cR0

FF 91 delivery schedule

In hindsight, Faraday disclosed on November 2022 that the company might not be able to proceed with the production of the FF 91 model following an internal reorganization due to a management dispute with its major shareholder.

The company’s former CEO and founder CEO Jia Yueting (YT), was succeeded by former BMW and Byton exec Carsten Breitfeld due to his financial issues. After some time, Breitfeld was superseded by CEO Xuefeng Chen (XF), currently the startup’s CEO.

The first chassis to leave the manufacturing lines were marked with a plaque by XF and YT, who were both present for the live stream (attached at the bottom of this article).

“This shows that FF has entered a new phase under the governance and operation of the new board and management.”

Faraday initially planned to deliver the FF 91 in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Now, the EV is set to hit the markets of China and the US sometime this year, initiating in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Shanghai, and Beijing.

Reuters report, citing Faraday Future’s spokesperson, that FF 91 deliveries in the US will occur by the end of April. However, the source has not disclosed which state would first receive the EV.

Remarkably, the automaker claims its EV offering has more extended range and acceleration than close rivals, including Tesla Model X, Mercedes Benz Maybach S, and Rolls Royce Cullinan.

Faraday claims that the FF 91 model will have a 130 kWh battery, offering a remarkable range of 381 miles. It’s electric motor can also is capable of 1,050 horsepower. It also boasts 200 kW charging and self-driving technologies. As for the acceleration, the EV can apparently manage 0 to 60 mph in just 2.27 seconds.

Performance without compromise. The FF 91 Futurist's tri-motor powertrain system delivers impressive performance specs including a 2.27 0-60MPH time, an EPA-rated range of 381 miles, and more.
