American electric vehicle startup Faraday Future has officially launched the FF91 2.0 Futurist Alliance limited edition model at a company event on May 30.
The EV’s ultra-premium price of $309,000 demonstrates the company’s precautions in avoiding any financial issues like before.
“This milestone event not only marks a new chapter in the development of FF, but also a solid step towards our vision of transforming the century-old automotive industry. FF has faced many obstacles, but as a trailblazer in the intelligent EV industry, FF has persevered.”
Xuefeng Chen, FF Global CEO
About the FF91 2.0 Futurist Alliance
As mentioned, the FF91 2.0 Futurist Alliance is a limited edition model with only 300 units worldwide.
With an initial price of $309,000, it marks the company’s first attempt at its envisioned “All-Ability aiHypercar.” It is apparently different from the older model FF91 introduced six years ago, as the FF91 2.0 now has a “comprehensive upgrade and iteration in its technological architecture.”
In addition, it is equipped with three electric motors and a 142 kWh battery pack, which generates a driving range of 381 miles between charges. It is also powerful, with 1,050 horsepower and 0 to 60 mph acceleration in just 2.27 seconds.
Apart from that, it is also a reliable and safe electric car. For instance, it has a “moat body” and “moat pack” structures, which produce integrated side impact crumple zones in the aluminum body.
It has a design that aids in maintaining the best possible cargo space while balancing the protection of the car’s occupants and high-voltage battery systems. According to Faraday, the inside has a sizable amount of room and is the longest in its class. It also provides the best comfort, with the biggest recline angle of any car at 60 degrees.
However, Faraday argues that its aiHyperCar 64 Architecture 2.0 is the main entrée and that everything else is really a starter. Specifically, this alludes to the “vertical integration and horizontal penetration of FF’s six technology platforms and four technology systems,” which includes the following:
1. Technology Platforms
- FF Open App
- FF aiOS 2
- FF aiHW 2.0
- FF Mechanical
- FF Cloud
- FF AI
2. Technology Systems
- Magic All-in-One – AI-based body control technology
- Hyper Multi-Vectoring – AI-powered integrated multi-axis torque vectoring
- 3rd aiSpace – Three-modem system supported with AT&t, Verizon, and T-Mobile
- FF aiDriving – Intelligent Driving system
“FF has morphed from pioneering the intelligent EV 1.0 stage to the all-AI-powered 2.0 stage. Today, we have achieved another major milestone.”
YT Jia, FF’s Founder & CPUO
These innovative platforms and systems are completely integrated with one another, offering an “elite mobility experience.” As Faraday continues to improve them, there is still potential for more improvement with third parties.
