The popular Sacramento Auto Show has just returned to Cal Expo after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, stimulating excitement among car enthusiasts in the city.
It exhibits iconic and sports car models, along with the latest models from major electric vehicle players, KCRA 3 emphasized.
“There’s a lot to do at The Sacramento International Auto Show. In addition to the Ride and Drives, there are special interest exhibits, and classic, wacky and downright fun other types of vehicles.”

SMUD launches a ride-and-drive track with car dealerships
As part of the event, Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) partnered with car dealerships to offer a ride-and-drive track for participants. It encourages interested drivers to raise questions about the electric vehicle models and the shift to e-mobility.
More excitingly, they can even test drive the available electric vehicles from participating brands. It enables drivers to test drive multiple EV models without feeling obligated to purchase a unit.
“We want to give people the experience to get behind the wheel. There is no substitute for that experience. We’re also here to answer questions about charging, how that works, incentives that are available, all things EV and you can come out and drive as many cars as you want.”
SMUD program manager John Grindrod
