Over the past few years, electric vehicle manufacturers have joined the market, and either their financial earnings increased or were restrained by IPO or SPAC mergers. Comparison of three different groups of EV stocks

The first chart is a global stock comparison, including legacy and EV automakers globally. The second chart includes EV stocks sold in the US market.
Lastly, the third table comprises automakers that manufacture EVs only, without legacy automakers starting to join in electrification. Some startups that went public for a few years and how they’ve fared are present in this table.

It must be no surprise that American automaker Tesla is #1 in EV stock. Despite a significant fall compared to October 2021, the EV automaker is still almost double the value of its #2 competitor Toyota, which it replaced as the world’s most valuable automaker years ago.
Following its IPO split from parent Volkswagen Group last month, Porsche presented the largest gains this month by a lot, ramping up nearly $18 in value.
