Volkswagen brand Cupra announced plans to allow its Australian customers to pre-purchase car service packages for a period of three to five years of ownership, according to a local media platform Drive.
Service packages
Three-year period offer
Cupra is set to launch a three-year service pack costing $990. The Born, Leon, Formentor, and Ateca are among the models for which the first three scheduled servicing are covered.
The initial three 15,000km/12-month planned logbook services are now included in the new package, so owners would not incur any charges. It differs from typical wear-and-tear components like brake pads and wiper blades.
Notably, Cupra’s previous three-year free servicing offer will be replaced by the newly announced package. In retrospect, the company offered the former one to all its Cupra cars since it debuted in Australia in mid-2022.
Five-year period offer
Apart from those mentioned above, Cupra has also announced a $1590 five-year service pack for the electric Born hatchback.
The first five logbook services are included in the $1990 five-year package, which is available for Leon, Formentor, and Ateca vehicles.
Qualifying dates
Starting on April 1, 2023, customers will be able to purchase the service packages.
Meanwhile, Leon, Ateca, and Formentor buyers who make their purchases before March 31, 2023, will receive a free three-year service pack from Cupra.
In addition, the customers who upgrade to a $1200 five-year service pack before March 31, 2023, will receive free access to the company’s “concierge service.”
Owners must take their vehicles to a licensed Cupra service facility to benefit from the packages. For your guidance, Cupra has eight service facilities throughout Australia.
