Chevy releases initial images of new Silverado EV LT
Chevrolet is on track to finally launch the highly anticipated, more affordable Silverado EV LT trim in the electric vehicle market.
Before that, the GM-owned brand released the first photos of the new model to stimulate customer interest.
As you can see in the image above, the Chevy Silverado EV LT parked next to a lake sports a gray paint. It has a stylish front end with slim LED lighting spanning the nose. It also features an illuminated BowTie badge.
The black cladding and detailing across the bumpers, around the fenders, and along the lower edges of the electric pickup complement the gray body paint. It sports large two-tone wheels with silver and black designs.
Meanwhile, the Silverado EV logo is prominently visible on the lower part of the front doors. In addition, its LED system includes the following:
- LED headlamps (RPO code TGE)
- LED taillamps (RPO code TAM)
- LED signature Daytime Running Lamps with an Amber tracer animation and charge indicator (RPO code 9H8)
The new Silverado EV LT also offers optional 22-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with aero inserts (RPO code Q7L).
Inside, the LT trim comes with a 17.7″ diagonal infotainment display and an 11.3″ driver information center (RPO code URF).
As for the technical specs, the new Silverado EV LT utilizes the GM Ultium Extended Range (20-module) battery pack. For reference, it delivers an estimated driving range of 393 miles to the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV 3WT between chargers. It is also worth noting that the model rides on the GM Ultium platform and undergoes production at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.
Brief background
Chevy showed off the Silverado electric pickup at CES following its introduction in January 2022.
It initially launched the Work Truck (WT) edition in late 2023, offering 510 hp and 615 lb-ft of torque.
The Detroit-based automaker then launched the 2024 Silverado EV First-Edition RST in May 2024. The fully loaded model offers a maximum output of 754 horsepower and over 785 lb-ft of torque (in Wide Open Watts Mode). It can apparently accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just under 4.5 seconds.
Finally, Chevy has added the third offering in the Silverado EV lineup – the new LT variant.
Pricing
For reference, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV WT starts at approximately $75,000, while the First-Edition RST trim costs about $96,000 (including destination fee).
Chevy asserted that the new Silverado EV LT is a future trim that will likely hit the market as a 2025 model. It is also meant to receive an off-road Trail Boss upgrade.
Chevy plans to launch the official pricing of the new Silverado EV LT closer to launch. However, industry experts expect the new trim to start at about $55,000 to $65,000.
Chevy also announced plans to launch a wide range of trim levels priced at $50K (WT), $60K, $70K, and +90K (First-Edition RST).
