Electric vehicle charging provider ChargePoint is among the first companies to announce support for Tesla’s North American Charging Connector (NACS) adoption. According to the announcement, ChargePoint will launch “much of the lineup” of its NACS-compatible chargers as early as November.
“Our support for both installed and new products opens up ChargePoint’s DC chargers to millions of drivers who have not yet had a fast charging alternative to the Tesla ecosystem, and makes their AC charging experience more convenient.”

ChargePoint’s NACS adoption
The growing number of automakers set to integrate NACS port in their next-gen EV models prompted ChargePoint to accelerate its preparation efforts for this major charging shift.
ChargePoint is now ramping up the production of Tesla’s NACS-compatible chargers.
ChargePoint’s NACS solutions align with its efforts to offer a superior charging experience for all electric vehicle owners regardless of brand and model.
It aims to be the inaugural charging network to launch DC plugs that support Tesla models. It also has AC solutions that eliminate the need for a bulky adapter.
The company also claims to have developed “every necessary cable solution” for electric vehicle charging in the North American and European markets amid the rapid shift to Tesla’s NACS technology.
“The auto OEMs have already spoken the overwhelming majority of them have already said they’re not going to support [CCS in America] post-2025. But for us, we don’t want our customers, which ultimately the station owners, to have to be planners and pick which is which. So if you use ChargePoint’s solution, we’re gonna have a solution for you that basically supports both connected types, in a single parking space.”
